marc weiser is working on 2 little music pieces for the french multimedia - artist jerome chazeix. his work focuses elements of our society such as the world of mass-media, with a great attention carried to the aesthetic or derision, mockery, generated through the naive vision of a good child. as in a film (or an opera or musical) the diversity and combination of various media tries to present a complete object in a fascinating relationship and is a way to confront us with an intensive experience. marc weiser did also the music for the installation piece “vogelfalle” by jerome chazeix in 2007, a contribution for the exhibition “walden - the child as medium”, kunsthaus dresden - städtische gelerie für gegenwartskunst.

rechenzentrum - remix for palac

http://www.palac.de/files/palacmusic_logo_small.gif

with straight quotes as much as ghostly shimmmers, Talking to Ghosts has gathered 10 international artists to rework the 2008 “Ghosts” debut-album by Palac, using only what the original release has to offer, featuring new joyful twists, wide dissonant drones and patient re-compositions by El Fog (D/JP), Tilman Ehrhorn (D), Ennio Mazzon (IT), Jerome Pergolesi (FR), NQ (D), Talkigmakesnosense (UK), Moze (JP), Rechenzentrum (D), Sonicbrat (SG), Beneva vs. Clark Nova (NO) and the original artist Palac (D). Not much in the sense of a traditional remix release, but with the general spirit of openess drifting alongside the patterns and samples rumbling through the tracks. Talking to Ghosts is a collection of imaginary places made from gently glitch, compressed orchestral maneuvers and phantom tones, with a partly transparent ghost of internationalism living within. Out June 2009.
